Jin Tang graduated from Tongji University in Shanghai with a major in surveying and obtained an MBA degree in 2004. He is currently the General Manager of Asset Operation and Safety Supervision Department of China Southern Power Grid Yunnan International Co., LTD. Since 2003, he has been engaged in electric power cooperation with neighboring countries, and has led the implementation of major power grid interconnection projects such as EPC of 230 kV Northern Laos power grid.

Xueqian Fu (IEEE Senior member) is Director of IEEE Smart Village CWG-Marketing, IEEE Young Professionals, and Associate Professor at China Agricultural University. He is a one of World‘s Top 2% Scientists 2023,and he is recognized as 'Outstanding Talent' and 'Young Star B’ by CAU. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from North China Electric Power University in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from South China University of Technology in 2015. From 2011 to 2015, he was an electrical engineer with Guangzhou Power Supply Co. Ltd.. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with Tsinghua University. His current research interests include Statistical Machine Learning, Agricultural Energy Internet, and PV system integration.
He is an associate Editor-in-Chief of “Information Processing in Agriculture", a youth editor of “Clean Energy Science and Technology ", an associate editor of “Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems”, Lead guest editor of “International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems" and “IET Renewable Power Generation".
Ju Liwei, male, 1989, associate professor, North China Electric Power University. The bachelor's and doctoral degrees are received from North China Electric Power University in 2012 and 2017. He is the Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholars in 2020 and 2021. His mainly research field is energy system modeling and decision optimization, energy economy and policy analysis, electricity market, distributed energy optimization and utilization and integrated energy system. During the pass five years, He has already presided two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, two Beijing Municipal Social Science Foundation projects, 1 China Postdoctoral Fund project. He has already published more than 30 papers as the first author in domestic and foreign journals such as Applied Energy, Energy, Energy Conversion and, Management, etc. and published 2 monographs by Science Press.

Yang Han (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2010. In 2010, he joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, where he has been an Associate Professor, in 2013, and Full Professor, in 2021. From March 2014 to March 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. He is currently with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, UESTC. He holds more than 40 issued and pending patents. He has published a book “Modeling and Control of Power Electronic Converters for Microgrid Applications,” ISBN: 978-3-030-74512-7 (Springer). His research interests include the ac/dc microgrids, active distribution networks, power quality, grid-connected converters for renewable energy systems, active power filters, multilevel converters, and static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs).
Dr. Han has received several national and provincial projects and more than 30 industrial projects in the area of power electronics, smart grid, microgrid, and power quality analysis and compensation. Dr. Han was listed as “World’s Top 2% Scientist” (single year and whole career) by Stanford University in 2022, and the recipient of the Young Scientist Award in CPESE 2021, the Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2020, Science and Technology Award from Sichuan Electric Power Company in 2019, Academic Talent Award by UESTC, in 2017, and Baekhyun Award by the Korean Institute of Power Electronics, in 2016. He served as an Associate Editor of Journal of Power Electronics and IEEE ACCESS (2019–2020).

Prof. Hua Ye is a doctoral supervisor and the vice dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Shandong University. He is also the Executive Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Smart Grid Dispatch and Control of the Ministry of Education and has been selected as the Qilu Scholar. His research focuses on the stability analysis and control research of the power systems with inclusion of new energies. He has proposed the theory and technology of large-scale time-delayed power system eigenvalue calculation based on partial spectral discretization. He has also achieved a series of results in the research field of cyber-physical integrated power systems and flexible DC grids. He has published three academic monographs with Science Press and has won the second prize for scientific and technological progress award in Shandong Province. He has led multiple national and provincial-level research projects, including the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been granted more than 20 national invention patents and has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers.
Mr. Xiqiang Chang is the General Secretary of the Power Operation and Control Center of State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. He holds the title of Professor-level Senior Engineer. He is one of the first batch of production skill experts of State Grid Corporation of China, a professional management expert of State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd, and a master's supervisor at universities including North China Electric Power University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Xinjiang University, and Shihezi University. He has been awarded the "7th Youth Science and Technology Award of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region", "Tianshan Talent of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region", "Model Worker of State Grid Corporation of China", "Second May 4th Youth Medal of State Grid Corporation of China", "Meritorious Individual of Xinjiang-Northwest Interconnection Project", and "Advanced Worker in Science and Technology of State Grid Corporation of China". He has won more than 20 awards including the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award, State Grid Corporation Science and Technology Progress Award, and China Electric Power Research Institute Science and Technology Progress Award. Among them, he has won two first-prizes and five second-prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels, one patent award at the Xinjiang autonomous region, two second-prizes of State Grid Corporation Science and Technology Progress Award, two State Grid Corporation Soft Science Awards, and four Electric Power Management Innovation Awards. He has participated in the compilation and publication of four monographs and has granted more than 20 patents.
Dr. Muyang Liu is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Xinjiang University. She has been selected into the Chinese National Overseas High-Level Talents Program in 2022. Her research interesting is multi-time scale modeling and simulation techniques of modern power systems, the on-line monitoring, control and operation of modern power systems. She pursued her doctoral degree at University College Dublin, Ireland, from 2016 to 2019. From December 2019 to December 2020, she was a senior researcher in power systems at University College Dublin. She participated in two technology research and development projects fund by European Union and one Investigator Program funded by the Science Foundation of Ireland. She has won the IEEE PES GM Best Paper Award in 2019 and was selected for the Next Generation in Power System Forum. She has published more than 40 SCI/EI-indexed papers, including 2 ESI hot papers, with over 1000 peer citations. She served as the Chair and Reviewer of the Best Paper Session at the IEEE PES General Meeting 2020.

 

  • Special Session VI: Complementary Operation and Intelligent Dispatching of High-Proportion Hydro-Wind-Solar Power Systems

Mr. He Huang is a Professor-level Senior Engineer, currently holds the position of Deputy Director at the Power Dispatching and Control Center of the Southern Power Grid. Additionally, he serves as the Vice Secretary-General of the National Grid Operation and Control Standards Technical Committee, Vice Chair of the IEEE PES Power System Protection and Control Committee (China), and Vice Chair of the Relay Protection Sub-Committee and User Photovoltaic Power Generation Standardization Technical Committee of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on the stability analysis and control of hybrid AC/DC interconnected large power grids, as well as the stability analysis and control of large-scale renewable energy integration systems. He has led the completion of major engineering projects such as the design of the Kun Liu Long UHVDC control protection and safety stability control system, research, testing, and operation of the Yunnan asynchronous interconnection safety and stability, Chu Sui UHVDC islanding research, testing, and operation, and intelligent operation and maintenance of relay protection and autonomous controllable projects. He has also led the development of special plans for the construction and implementation of new power systems and the improvement of new energy dispatching and operation in the Southern Power Grid. He has participated in the formulation of three national standards and has been granted 29 invention patents. He has received one first prize, six second prizes, and one third prize of the Chinese Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award, one third prize of the China Standard Innovation Contribution Award, and four first prizes of the Southern Power Grid Company's Science and Technology Progress Award.
Xu Jian is the Vice Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology Development at Wuhan University, a professor at the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, a Luojia Young Scholar, and a doctoral supervisor. He was selected for the Young Top-notch Talent Support Program of the Central Organization Department and has received the Outstanding Youth Fund of Hubei Province. He has been engaged in research on modeling, analysis, operation, and control of integrated energy systems, as well as research on the operation and control of new power systems and flexible load dispatch and control. He has led 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 sub-project of the 973 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology Support Program, 1 doctoral fund of the Ministry of Education, and more than 10 key scientific research projects of the State Grid Corporation and provincial power companies. He has also participated as an academic backbone in 1 major project of the National Natural Science Foundation and 1 major project of the Ministry of Science and Technology 863 Program. He has won one first prize for technological invention in Hubei Province, one second prize for scientific and technological progress in Hubei Province, one second prize for scientific and technological progress in Guizhou Province, and one third prize for scientific and technological progress in the China Electric Power Industry. He has published more than 70 papers in domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including 8 papers indexed by SCI, 52 papers indexed by EI, and 13 papers indexed by ISTP. He has applied for and been granted 15 national invention patents and registered 5 computer software copyrights.
Prof. Haoyong Chen is an academician of The Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Electric Power of South China University of Technology, recipient of the Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Excellent Talent of the New Century of the Ministry of Education, and director of the Institute of Electric Power Economy and Electric Power Market of South China University of Technology. His main research achievements include: systematic research on renewable energy power system/microgrid planning and operation models and algorithms based on stochastic hybrid system optimization theory and group intelligence, which have been applied in the electric power industry; systematic research on the application of game theory methods in the cross-cutting fields of electric power economy and electric power system, and the first proposal of frequency/voltage distributed cooperative control theory and methods for electric power system (microgrid) based on game theory, which has been recognized by the power industry at home and abroad. His theories and methods have been widely recognized by the power industry at home and abroad. In the past five years, he has led one key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project of the national key R&D program of China. He has published more than 150 papers, including 98 SCI/EI papers, and has been awarded 7 national invention patents. He was awarded the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of the Ministry of Education's Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research in Colleges and Universities for the Year 2022 (ranked 1st), as well as a number of other governmental, industrial, and corporate scientific and technological awards. In addition, a series of power market policy research articles have been published in Economic Daily, China Energy News, etc., which have been noticed and adopted by the central decision-making departments.

Deng Feng, Professor, PhD supervisor, Hunan Provincial Distinguished Youth Scholar, Hunan Provincial "Huxiang Young Talent" in Science and Technology Innovation, Teaching Master of Ideological and Political Education Demonstration Courses sponsored by the Ministry of Education, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Changsha University of Science and Technology. She has long been engaged in long-term research in the fields of power system protection and fault localization, as well as weak fault detection in distribution networks. In the past five years, she has led two General Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China and over 10 provincial and ministerial-level programs, including the Hunan Provincial Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, and undertaken two national key research and development programs as a key researcher. She also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the IEEE PES Power System Protection and Control Technical Committee and a young editorial board member of "Power System Protection and Control." She received the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress First Prize in 2020, the Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva in 2021, the First Prize in the Hunan Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Awards in 2022, and the Third Prize in the National University Young Teachers Teaching Competition in 2023.
Yunfeng Yan is an associate researcher at Zhejiang University. She has long been engaged in theoretical and applied research in the fields of knowledge graphs, power security, and computational vision. She has published 43 high-quality papers in journals or top conferences such as IET Computer Vision and International Federation of Automatic Control, and has applied for/authorized 38 invention patents, and obtained 28 software copyrights. She has led 7 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels or above (including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, GF Fund, Zhejiang Province "Leading Talent" Plan, CCF-Blue Ocean Fund, etc.), served as the technical director for 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and participated in 7 national defense industry vertical projects as the technical lead. She has participated in 6 vertical projects such as the 863 Program, National Key Research and Development Program, and Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Plan, and has completed 28 horizontal projects commissioned by 611 Institute, 302 Institute, Southern Power Grid, State Grid Corporation of China, CRRC, and other organizations. She won the first prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 3rd). She serves as an editorial board member for SCI journals such as PCMP and ELECTRONICS. Yixuan Chen, Research associate at Department of electrical and electronic engineering, The university of Hong Kong. Her research interests include power system planning, physics-informed artificial intelligence in power systems, and multi-objective optimization. She received the M.E. degree from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2019 and Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China in 2023. She has published 15 SCI/EI journal papers (serving as first or corresponding author for 11 of the papers), participated in 2 programs funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (including one major integration project), and served as the co-PI for a Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province of China - General program. She has won the first prize of technical invention award by State Grid Corporation of China (6/6) in 2018 and electric power technology innovation award by China Electricity Council (6/6) in 2019.
